Why data may cross borders
As an APAC-focused firm supporting international assignments, we may need to transfer personal information across borders — for example when presenting a candidate to an employer located in another country, or when using service providers based overseas.
How we protect transferred data
Before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles and applicable local law, including through:
- Contractual protections requiring appropriate security and confidentiality
- Assessment of the privacy framework in the destination jurisdiction
- Limiting transfers to what is necessary for the relevant purpose
- Obtaining your consent where required
Your consent
Where a role or service involves cross-border disclosure of your identifying information, we will make this clear and seek your consent before proceeding.
